As the Wildlife Campaign Manager, Michèle focusses on changing those systems that rely on wildlife exploitation, including the trade for wild animals for pets and entertainment.

She has a background in animal welfare and behaviour and is one of the few people in Canada that has investigated the importation of wild animals into Canada. 

Michèle is especially interested in educating people about the trade and use of lesser-known wild animal species like reptiles, birds, amphibians, and fishes. These animals are exploited in massive numbers with little attention being given to their welfare even though they are sentient and have the ability to consciously experience every single thing they face in their lifetime.
